Education & Early Childhood Studies: Before, During & Beyond … Education With Dr Lucy Trotter & Jeff Chilton From Aberystwyth University, & Joined By Aber Alumna, Liz Titley

6th July 2021 @ 17:00 - 18:00

We are delighted to present the Before, During and Beyond … series from Aberystwyth University in which each event focuses on a particular subject area to introduce the decisions that need to be made before choosing a degree course, the study period itself and how University alumni have succeeded beyond studying the course.

In Before, During & Beyond … Education, the three strands of the webinar will consider:

  1. Before: Jeff Chilton, Student Recruitment Officer, will give you some hints and tips as to things you can be doing now (gaining relevant experiences, developing transferrable skills, exploring links to different career pathways etc) in order to enhance your application to an Education related Degree
  2. During: Lucy Trotter to provide an overview of the departmental ethos and some module tasters – offering an overview of the diversity within modules and degree schemes across the department. Scheme benefits, resources, employability and PGCE pathway will be discussed
  3. Beyond: Guest speaker alumna/graduate from the School of Education, Liz Titley, will interact with Lucy Trotter, following a Q&A format to discuss their own career pathway and how their UG degree equipped them with the knowledge and skills for their current role within the field of education

There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and to find out about the decisions the university alumni have made also.

The format is accessible, friendly, informative and participative.
